We are playing shit football and you don't have to look too far for the reason. Thing is, what input do Leon and Curt have regarding this mess.

Playing the bottom of the league team and Cooper has only made one change to the defence. Our top goalscorer on the bench and no pace to attack them with. Shambolic.

Has he even touched it?
I don't think so. Glaring lack of method to introduce somebody like Garrick with certain attacking flare and not give any directive on his use. Instead, it appeared to me that we attacked solely down the left hand side, which kept Celina out wide and left us with just two in midfield augmented from time to time by Ayew whenever he happened to wander in there.

Think we can consider ourselves lucky Barnsley didn't have anyone with any finishing power ,lost count of the amount of strikes they put into row Z,clearly the better side and deserved the point if not the three.

I think it’s clear that whatever Cooper is trying to do is not working. We are being out worked and out muscled. We have been short in midfield for the last 4 games or so. We have no creativity and cohesion up front. It all started upon the return of Ayew, not that he is the root cause, but that’s when we went from being all over teams to having a struggle to now be dictated to. Today we should have been hammered, and better finishing on their part and the game would have be over by half time.

@Ladygargar would you be so kind to ask the club hierarchy why they've stopped uploading full-match replays to the Swans web-site?
The last full-match replay is QPR-Swansea from 21 August.

If had played any semblance of possession football Barnsley would have been chasing shadows not creating chances. We were no where near to the level of quality and tempo required to be a shadow Swansalona never mind the real deal. Any pretense by Cooper that that is what he is trying to achieve is taking the piss. It is getting worse every week. Are we to believe that all of the other Championship teams are finding some hitherto absent tactical nous and playing the perfect game. Stoke and now Barnsley, if we don’t show up against Brentford it’s going to be dire and against Cardiff an utter embarrassment.

Sometimes we have to give some credit to opposition, and neither Stoke nor Barnsley are bad teams. Stoke beat Fulham 2:0 yesterday. This season the Championship is incredibly competitive.

Possession % against Barnsley was not a problem. How can 61 % possession in an away game be a problem? We had 8 shots on target, Barnsley had 5. We had 5 corner kicks, Barnsley 2. We created 5 big chances, Barnsley 3.

Apart from our pass accuracy (75%) the stats look good to me. I can hardly remember a game where we created 5 big chances. We didn't convert the chances, but we created them. And that's most important to me.

What worries me is not the goals we concede but how we concede them. We conceded silly goals against Forest, Reading, Stoke and Barnsley. The difference is 6 points. And frankly, I can't blame Cooper for the stupid defensive mistakes our players make game after game.
