Thank fcuk for that! I thought I was watching a game of walking football from us for most of the game. o_O It was men v boys and the game reflected our respective positions in the table. But we seem to have woken up and could have added to that goal from Oli. And what a good goal it was. Great play from VDH and Dyer with a gorgeous killer ball from the little man for Oli to gobble up. Now we need to keep it going and mind our work.

We have played much much better and got nothing, but good enough for the win.

9 th and 6 points from the playoffs. If we only done better on December we’d be well up there now.

The stereotypical game of 'twarves'. United easily bossed the first but we came hard at them in the second, got a great goal and held off the fight back. Three hard earned and welcome points.

A couple of concerning points though. When we're under the cosh we definitely lack an out ball because Oli just hasn't got the physical presence to hold the ball up - so back it comes and we're under pressure again. The other thing is that we seem to have totally lost the ability to keep possession and run down the clock by making the oppo chase the ball. Our passing and movement still leaves a lot to be desired in this situation and, imo, needs a lot of work on the training field. A LOT!!

Good shift though from the team and Leroy Fer earned his money today. We had a little bit of luck but we worked for it, so well done to the lads.

Potter's reply amused me when he was asked what caused the transformation between the first and second half performances. "I told them to go out and play better," he said. Yep, that would do it!! Good to know we've got these high tech managerial solutions in our locker when we need them. :ROFLMAO:

But fair play, whatever he said and/or did obviously worked and the lads looked a different outfit second half. Jekyll and Hyde doesn't begin to describe it! I still think we need to keep possession better though when we're under pressure. Some intensive training ground routines should sort it.

Main stats are as follows:

Possession: 51-49 Shots: 11-12 OT: 3-4 Corners: 3-7 Fouls: 8-17 GOALS: 1-0

The large disparity in fouls committed tells me that we were the team calling the shots as they had to foul twice as many times as we did to keep us out. A well deserved, hard fought win against a good team, so I say again, well done, lads. :)

Consider Sarri's outburst after the Arsenal match ... Potter: "I told them to go out and play better" ... effectively that's what Sarri is trying to do, but the lazy fuckers apparently want none of it. Conte and Mourinho both sufferered the same way there.
