Looks like we are in with a good chance of loan signing the Bournemouth striker who is highly rated by manager Eddie Howe. What with Baston, Kalulu and Surridge ( if he signs) we should have plenty of options up front when they are added to the likes of Routs, Dyer, Mckay etc etc. Given the number of fixtures we'll have to play in all the competitions, some depth will be needed and there should be some healthy 'battles' to be first pick.

Swans to tie up loan for Bournemouth striker Sam Surridge

I thought we had a cash crisis. We’re ballooning our payroll faster than a scot downs scotch. We are amassing quantity but is there any clear quality difference to what we already have. If with all these choices Cooper stumbles around with different line-ups and combinations seeking the best we could be weeks of inept and incoherent performances away from a settled line-up.

All of the cash being spread this thin would have been much better combined into a bigger sum for real quality. We lost two players of real quality that were ours .... and we replace them with one player previously too expensive to pay, Peterson and two loaners. I’m not understanding the logic here.

And, we still have Montero and Ayew on our books. Montero is clearly unstoppable at this level. Ayew would also have to be a force. Are we really going to keep those two in the ice box awaiting deportation while we pay their supposedly large wages. What happens when they can’t be moved. Do we let them rust like we did with Dyer and Route for part of last season or do we try to use them.

I can't keep up with this. We have to assume they reckon to cut the wage bill by offloading Ayew, Montero (and a goalie) elsewhere than England.
Otherwise there won't be enough squad places to go round.

Really strange, do they realize they can't sell and make a profit off a loanee?

I think they are desperate to sell Borja, they must be signing these strikers because they have offers on the table. Also Van derHoorn which would be a mistake. I thought taking the Captain band from him was a sign they were going to sell him.

I like Montero too, he's got pace on the left. Would be a shame to have him on the books and not play him.
