Our owners and board appear to be completely incompetent at running a football club but highly skilled at fillleting the 'juicy bits' to feed the pockets of themselves and their investors. When asked a direct question about the money that's been received in transfer fees and the LACK of money available to replace them, the same old line gets trotted out as they studiously avoid the question.
It was Pearlman's turn to fob us off again when he was interviewed on Radio Wales after the game on Saturday. Same old, same old WAFFLE about our fragile financial situation. Why in Heaven's name doesn't someone ask them a direct question along the lines of: X amount of money has been received in transfer fees but only Y amount has been spent. Where is the balance of the money? Then, why haven't the owners invested so much as a penny piece of their own money? When they first purchased their shares, they categorically stated, in public interview, that there would be funds to invest in players from their own resources. THEY LIED THROUGH THEIR TEETH, IMO, AND COMPLETELY MISLED THE FANS. This fact alone should make them unsuitable to continue as owners in the England/Wales football system.
And where is the Trust in all this? Doing sod all by the looks of it. If no one else is asking these questions then they should be. And they should keep asking them, as publicly as possible, until they get a proper answer. They are supposed to be representing us but I see precious little evidence of it and that can no longer be allowed to continue. It begs the question as to what their motives are and they themselves have a lot of explaining to do.
