Our play off the ball was not good. With their possession they shouldn't have been allowed to have 16 shots and 8 shots on target. We are not pressing our opponents enough and we allow them too much space. And set-pieces defending still sucks.

Anyway, that was a good comeback, twice behind and we still won the game. Let's beat Ipswich and finish the season in 9th place or even better.

We actually went without committing a foul for the first 81minutes.
I prefer the Troy Deeney approach - give 'em a smack and see if they're up for it. Tbh it was how I played although I have to admit that I got more than my share of knocks in return. But defenders tended to cut back on the really rough stuff once they realised I wasn't going to soak it up.

I've got great faith in the abilty and talent of our players and believe they have an excellent chance of doing really well next season. But they mustn't allow themselves to be bullied and kicked out of games. We need an ice hockey type enforcer to help them.

Here's some highlights to enjoy. Don't think our defenders will enjoy Potter's post match analysis though.

Some nice comments from the Rotherham manager about Dan James confirming what we all know really. Dan has the world at his feet in football terms but I hope that he'll stay with us for at least one more season to give us a shot at winning promotion next season. If Potts can be given a decent chance by the club keeping his young squad together, I think we would have every chance. Also good to see Oli improving by the game and his 21 goals have been richly deserved. If he can notch 25 he can be more than satisfied with a great season. Well done, Oli, not the prettiest but pretty effective.

Paul Warne was something in awe of young Dan after the game.

“I knew we had to curtail James’ pace which is a joke, it’s like he’s on a motorbike," said the Rotherham boss.

“Because he’s so good my lads are using a lot of energy trying to stop him. Then they switch the ball and go out the other way and my lads have got to run over there.

“He is phenomenal talent. I wanted him to go Leeds in January because I knew we didn’t have to play them again. I was thinking please go to Leeds – that would have been unbelievable for me.

“The best players at the best clubs are the ones who cause you problems and he is definitely up there. He will go on to have a great career no doubt. “In the nicest possible way, I don’t really need to see him in a team opposite me again.”

So there you have it, Mr Birch, Dan James is truly a treasure but, if the owners insist on cashing in, make damned sure we get every single penny we can for him, preferably with a stonking sell on percentage clause embedded in the contract.
