I guess a win is a win so we'll bank the points and move on. BUT there are some serious problems at the back that need addressing and Potts will have to get his coaching staff working hard to fix them during the summer break - along with some intensive shooting practise for the mids and front men. I know that today was something of a freak game in terms of goals but we shouldn't have to be scoring 3 or 4 goals to win a game. Some stats:
POSSESSION: 71-29 SHOTS: 15-16 OT: 8-8 Corners: 6-9 Fouls: 4-13 GOALS: 4-3
A couple of things - worrying that Rotherham got more shots and corners from way less possession, so I have to ask if we are making the best use of the ball when we have it? Looking at the foul count it seems obvious that Rotherham were fighting like fcuk to preserve their Championship status. But we committed only FOUR fouls, which seems unbelievable to be honest. It's no good playing like gentlemen when the opposition is putting the boot in. Okay, I get that our game is to football our way past the rough stuff but there are times when you must fight fire with fire. If we don't then far too many other teams will see us as a soft touch and this will take its toll of our squad during a tough Championship season. Ferre would have sorted 'em.
