"What he (Cooper) is doing with the club is the right thing to do," Routledge told BBC Sport Wales.Birch / Leon .... wtf are you people watching and doing. This can’t continue. You’re blowing it.
Another one chanting the company line out of self-interest."What he is doing with the club is the right thing to do," Routledge told BBC Sport Wales.
He probably has to say that so Cooper will play him right?Another one chanting the company line out of self-interest.
I would take Woodman all day problem is we can't afford him. Castle will want £8 to £12 million for him. He's young and still can improve. Unless we somehow get promoted I don't see us keeping Woodman. Maybe next season when his contract expires but he'll probably have an offer somewhere before that happens. I wouldn't mind having Vickers back, Spurs are asking £4 million for him.Woody v Nordfeldt .... it’s getting to be a tough call
Agree about Celina he had a promising but it's like watching the same play Everytime. He's closed down by 2 defenders and Ioses possession. He's lost all his confidence, he used to create more.Cooper was ok when everybody around him was rank as in Bidwell or indifferent.
Fulton gets top marks from me. Worked hard with little support.
Carroll ... really is not the force he should be. Can play a killer ball but really plays at a tempo that ensures he’s not involved when he should be the setter of the tempo.
Kalulu ... other than being a training rabbit for a greyhound what else can he do.
McKay ... this is why Forest dumped him.
Woody v Nordfeldt .... it’s getting to be a tough call
Roberts ... get a grip son, one oh shit can wipe out 10 at-a-boys. Last season is history - keep going like this and so will you.
Celina ... takes too long to decide what he wants to do out wide with the ball and by the time he figures it out instead of 1 player closing him down he has 2 and options disappear even the option to cross. He doesn’t have a go to plan as a real winger should and does
Dyer .... it’s time.
Peterson ... more direct than Celina, always looks like he has a plan. Not sure about him but I’d persist.
He used to create more under Potter! Since Cooper got his hands on him he's gone backwards at an alarming rate of knots - as have many others. At one time Celina was being touted as a target for other clubs but I doubt that is the case now. They might buy him for potential but now he's a complete non-starter in terms of performance.he used to create more.
We need new owners, it all lies with them. Maybe some would disagree it Birch is a financial advisor and not a transfer window wizard. Should have done more to keep James. Players like him don't appear often. He was good enough to make the rest of the team look better. Cooper needs to be replaced, the owners Kaplan and Levien don't have a clue about Football. He used to create more under Potter! And this is where I take issue with Leon and Routs. They are taking us all for idiots when they spout the drivel we've been reading of late. Do they think we know nothing about the game? Just because we may not have played as full time professionals does not make us ignorant!! In fact, imo, professional footballers aren't exactly the most intelligent of people themselves. Many are as thick as planks as it happens.
Quite a number of people on this and other forums have been watching the game for years. We have the nous to recognise what is in front of us. You don't even need to have played the game to see when a team isn't 'at it', when they are just going through the motions. We know when players are hiding; we know when players consistently misplace passes; we know when there is no rhythm, tempo or urgency in our play; we know when set pieces are constantly being wasted through lack of practise; in other words we KNOW when our team is not performing. So stop treating us like fucking idiots because we KNOW a lot more than you think we do!
And for fcuk's sake stop pretending this is all part of a grand master plan. We know that it isn't!! We also know that the real reason for our predicament is that the owners have totally failed to back us when we needed it. We know they haven't invested so much as a brass farthing in a realistic attempt to strengthen the team when they faithfully promised to do so. And I KNOW this because I saw and heard this promise spill from their lying lips when they bought their shares in the club.
Finally, we KNOW that Steve Cooper is not up to this job because we regularly see the evidence that he is NOT, so stop trying to tell us otherwise. We KNOW better - better than you it seems.
Players don't listen to people they don't respect. They think they know better and, in this case, they probably do. Trouble is they don't know enough either and need guidance thereby falling between the proverbial two stools. They need strong guidance from the top and I don't believe that they're getting it.players are not paying attention
Exactly Ivor,How could you ever begin believe that some of this squad was trained by Laudrup,They are playing like novices trained by a novice with schoolboy novice ideas.Players don't listen to people they don't respect. Way back on July 25 I said this about Cooper on a thread discussing what we thought of him in the early days of the season. I fear it was prophetic: "Finally I am a bit worried about the man management side. From body language alone I don't see that the players are yet giving him unconditional respect or that he is in their faces motivating them. If you watch at the end of matches he doesn't seem to approach team members with words of encouragement and they don't go near him - he cuts something of an aimless figure wandering the pitch on his own after the ninety minutes. I hope this is just a matter of time (and results) but from Day One Potter seemed to have that man management skill."Players don't listen to people they don't respect. That's very observant, I cannot picture him being animated in the dressing room when he supposedly tore into the players after the QPR match. God help this club. If the next match isn't a reason to liven up I don't know what is.Way back on July 25 I said this about Cooper on a thread discussing what we thought of him in the early days of the season.
