Here we go! The start of another season. Lots of questions to be answered. New players: how will they show. System: 3+2 was successful at the end of last season, will Andy Pandy stick to it. Forwards: Ayew + A.N.Other = Cullen or Lowe or the outsider Asoro.

Keeper: I think we're stuck with Woody. Unethically I'm hoping for an act of god ... just a little one ... it could go either way: take Woody out, or imbue Andy Pandy with a clue. A touch of flu would do the trick ... we just need Benda to be given a chance.

What I'm hoping for:

I'm giving the nod to Fulton and Smith or Grimes to battle it out for other position - at this point not fussed either way.

I reckon Grimes will start as well and I think that Cooper will go with Smith although I do expect that Fulton will get some minutes. I'm hoping that Cullen also gets on although Cooper has to have patience until the lad finds his feet at this level. But Cullen has to be used properly. He doesn't hold it up: he doesn't work out wide, he's a 'fox-in-the-box' operator 🦊 and he needs service and support in there. Do that and he'll get his goals. I hope! ⚽ 🤲

Cullen is very similar to Brewster in that his main contribution is his scoring ability, Brewsters hold up play was non existent and contributed o ly movement in build up play yet people praised him to the hilt. Its an improvement in his all round play that Clopp needs to see before committing to the lad. Cullen also needs to add more to his game , if he can do that he will start regularly.

Fulton and Smith are different formations am I wrong. Cooper will use Fulton as a substitute to protect a lead like what he mainly used last season with 2 defending mids. I'd love to see more Cullen fair points on him, he's still raw. We need creativity and I hope MGW and Smith can bring it. Need to keep Ayew. It's hard to see getting Brewster again, let's hope our new "investor" realizes having an attacker like that would surely help the chances of going up.

I think Cooper is going to play Grimes, Smith, Gibbs-White in midfield and Lowe and Ayew up front. I would be surprised to see Cullen up front from the start.
