Cant see us signing Fernando Forestieri to be fair, I reckon they will want double figures for him and i doubt the money grabbing flower would go for that.

We'd be better off sending Bony to the world's top specialist in whatever is wrong with his legs and get him fixed and fit to play.
Good point Yankee ! What we're paying him for doing nothing could well finance a speedy return to the squad.

Does anyone know what was so special about Michu's injury that his ankles couldn't heal?
You say ankles Crojack, did he have problems with both? I know initially the start was an injury I think to his left ankle in the Cardiff game, and there were concerns that Laudrup tried to keep playing him which apparently aggravated it more at the time.

First left, and then right ankle. I think he injured his right ankle during his only game for the Spain national team.

Interestingly, next summer he passed the medical at Napoli

Every time I see his picture I think of what might have been. A great footballer for us and I'm told, a great guy. Easily my favourite recent Swan and I'd love it if he could get his coaching badges and come back to us. I guess we all have our dreams and that's one of mine.

He is very tall and was elegantly slight when he was younger there wasn’t a scrap of fat on him - he was overplayed imho a bit like putting a thoroughbred out to tow a cart - he should’ve been looked after better, we should have had sufficient depth to allow proper recovery and specialists to ensure his legs and most importantly his joints were kept in better order.

If we feel bad imagine what torment it must’ve been for ‘the student’

Yes your right LGG, a stitch in time may have saved nine. But once again the finger points at Jenkins, he wouldn't allow Laudrup another striker, enabling him to rest Michu. He put in numerous requests, but turned down each time.

According to the Sun: "Swansea will sign Nottingham Forest winger Barrie Mckay in a bargain deal". You can bet your arse it'll be 'bargain' if Jenkins was involved in this.

He's 23, stands 5ft 9" and was signed from Rangers for £500k on a 4 year deal in 2017. He got 12 goals in 103 for Rangers, 5 in 26 for Forest and has one senior cap for Scotland after a dozen appearances for the Unders. Is a left winger but can also play as a striker. Here's a taste:

Apparently he can also play as a forward, perhaps #10. Could be the ideal foil for McB. You have to believe that Montero and Asoro are starters - based on what we've seen in the preseason. McKay is right footed - although he appears to play on the left side for Forest - there wasn't one example of a left footed cross or shot - so he could play on the RW and might be more at home there.

Scored in his Championship debut against Millwall about a year ago. August 4th, 2017. 5 goals, 7 assists in 26 games with Nottingham Forest. I would take a chance on him.
