OUR NEXT MANAGER?

He made a good fist of his first press conference, something he's probably not used to.
Two things struck me:
He says he started studying us seriously in December. Were we really planning succession 6 months into Potter's reign? Had GP already had a falling out with the Board?
He also emphasised he would "manage the manageable", implying he's fully aware of the problems ahead with the owners.

Cooper spoke well and it was encouraging to hear him emphasise the style of football he wants us to play. We need to give him time to bed in and get his ideas across, so I hope he will get the fans backing as he does this. Other than that I'm hopeful that the players will be happy with what he wants from them and that we'll have a pretty decent season. Good luck, Steve.

He didn't say he'd been planning since December , he said he'd watched every game since December and some from before. This was part of his preparation for interview , so he could show what he knew of our playing style , players ability and what he could do to improve the team and style of play .
He seems grounded and confident , let's hope he gets the backing from the board that our team deserves.

Are there two interviews with him? In the one I've watched on Swans TV he said "When I knew that was a bit of interest in me getting this job my main task was to watch as many games as possible from last season. I think I've watched certainly every game since last Christmas."

And, whether he likes it or not, the job of managing the manageable (i.e. the Board) is now Leon's. They're paying him to advise .... so do it and call on Curt for support.
