Just watching the (behind closed doors) game between Dusseldorf/ Dortmund. Surprisingly enough the atmosphere is amazingly good as a tv viewer. they have sound system in the ground giving crowd effect where if it wasn't for the empty seats you wouldn't know the difference, applause for a good pass, whistling and booing for a foul, constant chanting. Shouldn't think the players see a lot of difference.

Yeah, it helps a lot. I am watching Bayern v M'Gladbach right now, and I must say the crowd effects are excellent.

Yesterday 3.000 fans were allowed to be in the stands and watch football between Brøndby and Copenhagen.

Here it is how it looked like. Scroll to 00:30.

So my favourite manager has done it. After 30 years Pool have just become the Premier League champions. Never in the history of the English top flight has any team won the title after 31 games. Impressive.
A couple of days ago I watched Pool demolishing Palace and that performance summed up everything Klopp stands for: constant running and moving, attacking, pressing, possession and slick passing. That was a lecture in modern attacking football.

Can we bring in a Klopp's clone to the Liberty? Did Cooper watched that game?

'I am not the guy who is going to shout "we are going to conquer the world",' he announced on day one. 'We must conquer the ball first, yeah? Each f****** time. We will chase the ball. We will run more, fight more, we will work more together, be better together. We have to find our own way to play. We will try to play very emotional football. We will try to change from doubters to believers.

'You want to see fighting spirit, many sprints, many shots. Our performances have to be enjoyable. If you have the ball you have to be creative but if you lose it the counter pressing is very important. It is not a proposal, it is law. You have to do it. A good tackle that gets the ball, it's like a goal. Yeah!' And he raised his arms in celebration.

To put this in even more perspective read what Klopp said after the game:

"We are 4-0 up in the 87th minute and four players are chasing one poor Crystal Palace player like he owns the only ball in the world".

Contrast that with the way we went off the boil after the 30th minute against Boro. And contrast the way we have repeatedly done that during the season and thrown away valuable points that could have seen us in with an excellent chance of promotion.

A team's attitude is derived from the manager and this is where I'm most critical of Cooper. Be it lack of required fitness levels; lack of respect for the manager and his tactics, or whatever, the sad truth is that all too often the players have just phoned in a performance. That is NOT acceptable at ANY level of football. Effort and hard work is a basic that no team should lack.

That Swedish crowd looks quite comfortable. Lots of room to stretch the limbs. We have lost a lot of points giving up late goals this season. How many times have we pulled out attack and tried to defend a 1 goal lead. Too many, has to be what 20 points. I can go back and count.

Can't think of anyone I'd rather not have than him as a manager at this stage going into these final games, on match days he seems the most disinterested person in the stadium.

That's what it's all about. In our case and in this league it would be enough to chase the ball for the first 45 minutes and simply crush opposition. We even can't do that. We can't say we don't have enough quality in the squad. Just have a look at the Leeds' squad. DO THEY HAVE ANY SUPERSTARS? Nope. But they run and press much more than we do.

Just watched the Brentford/ WBA game, quite an even game with Brentford taking the points with a 1-0 win, which moves them up to third place.

So our win at Leeds is an outlier. The exception that proves the rule.

It was a rule with exeption of our lucky goal. Had that game been played 100 times, Leeds would have won it at least 90 times. They totally outplayed, outrun and outfought us. And I'm sure had Bielsa had some better and more effective players up front this season, they would have already been crowned as champions.

Brothers Cowley have been sacked by Huddersfield Town.

In a statement, Huddersfield chairman Phil Hodgkinson said: "I would like to place my thanks on record to Danny and Nicky for their hard work and dedication towards securing the club’s place in the Championship for next season. That was the clear priority when they were appointed in September and we are very grateful that has been achieved.

"We all wish Danny and Nicky all the best for the future and they leave with my best wishes in their future endeavours.

"However, we have made this decision in the belief that, in the long term, it is in the best interests of the club as we move forward.

"We have a different vision for the way we operate the club, and how our ambitions can be achieved."

Nigel Pearson has been sacked as well. Lol. This is ridiculous. They have two games to play, they are 3 points better than Aston Villa and a better goal score. They were in dire straits when he took over, and 27 points from 20 games is not bad. 1.35 points per game gives 51 points over the course of a season, and that's a rock-solid mid-table position. Carlo Ancelloti's Everton have 46 points now.

Not to mention that if they did go down Pearson would be the ideal man to get them back up.
