A very sad day for Notts County, the oldest club in the football league and one of its founder members have been relegated from the football league.

What a fantastic game Liveepool played tonight. What a fight and what a comeback. That's what football is about. Three crucial players injured and still won 4:0. Hats off to Mr. Jurgen Klopp.

Brilliant!! Well done Liverpool. Delighted for them and hope they go on to win the Cup after that performance. It might inspire Spurs to do similar but, as much as I like Poch, even if they do, I'd want Pool to win it after that.

And now Spurs pull off a remarkable win to go through on away goals. :D Brilliant and well done them. Now for an all British Final and, given fabulous against the odds performances from both teams, I don't mind which team wins. Just a shame that one of them has to lose. Spurs had 24 shots with 7 on target and 60% possession so, despite going three down with just the second half to play, they pegged Ajax back and nailed them at the death. Really delighted for both teams.

Great game again. And what a nerve-racking finish! What a drama!

Two most underrated managers are in the Champions League final.

British football is going to dominate even more in the coming years. Top managers and top talent are mostly in Britain. Ronaldo has almost retired and Messi can't do it alone at Barca.

Focus is now much more on top managers and team work than on brilliant players like Ronaldo and Messi. Just have a look at the managers in the Premier League and Championship: Guardiola, Klopp, Pochettino, Sarri, Emery, Pelegrini, Benitez, Santo, Gracia, Silva, Rodgers, Hasenhüttle, Farke, Bielsa, Potter...And if United bosses were clever enough they should immediately sack Solskjær and hire either Erik Ten Hag (Ajax), Lucien Favre (Dortmund) or Thomas Tuchel (former Dortmund and now PSG). Of course, we won't give them Graham Potter ;).

Apart from talented players from abroad, England and Wales have got a new generation of young and talented players who have everything: pace, technical ability and work rate.

I always say that a good manager is the best signing one club can make. And when you have a string of top, progressive managers who manage your top talent, then the results are just a matter of time. What England and Wales managers have to do is to implement a more modern approach, simply copy the style their players play under progressive managers. I was really disappointed with the football Englsnd played during the World Cup. What a waste of talent! They played 3-5-2 which was criminal. But Southgate changed his formation in October 2018 to 4-3-3 in the game against Croatia in Zagreb to get the best out of Sterling and other players. Prior to switch of formation Sterling has scored one goal in twenty appearances for England, since they switched to 4-3-3 he has scored six goals in five games. By the way, 4-3-3 is what Pep and Klopp play.

Wales have under Giggs played 4-2-3-1 (that's what Manchester United play) and 4-4-1-1 and the results have been up and down. I'd like to see Wales play like Swansea do, either 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3. You have fantastic young players who have pace and technical ability to play high tempo passing football. And with Bale and Ramsey in the squad you have a bright future.

Stephen Dobbie.
Dobbie, heading for his 37th birthday is the leagues top scorer, a remarkable 43 goals in 43 appearances in all competitions for Scottish Championship side Queen Of The South this season. In Jan /19 scored his 9th hat-trick since returning to Q O T S against Sottish Prem club Dundee. Always gave us his 100% when with us, and that lasting memory of that Wembley goal.

Always rated Dobbs and chuffed to see him doing so well even at his age. Mind you, it has to be said that the Scottish Championship must be pretty poor.

Craig Bellamy.
There are reports that Cardiff have kicked out Bellamy for bullying the youngsters, apparently parents have been complaining to the club about his treatment for a long while.

Newport County miss promotion.
Newport County went a goal down in the 119th minute of extra time at Wembley in their playoff game against Tranmere Rovers. Newport went down to ten men late in the second half, still looked the better side, creating more chances, just a couple of minutes away from penalties when they conceded.

Yes, they played well in a game full of incident and were unlucky to lose, imo. Both sides had shouts for a penalty with the Newport claim stronger but they were also fortunate not to have another man set off when the referee deemed a sort of rugby tackle by the last man as a collision. Shame, it would have been good to see Newport go up. Manager Flynn has done well for them but I believe that our CT has the stronger credentials for our job.

So Neil Taylor gets the last laugh as he plays Premier League football next season. It was a good game but, tbh, I didn't see anything that we couldn't have beaten on our best day. Interesting graphic that Derby conceded most goals from crosses (34?) during the season whilst we were the next worst conceding 29. Therein lies a major factor in us finishing mid table as opposed to the top six. Our defenders have a lot to answer for as do our coaches who did sod all about it.
