WTF was Nordy doing at the end. Is there anything more than shit for brains between his ears.
That was weird indeed. They played well for the most part against the top team in the league. Hernandez and Krul gave us a few gifts. I really hope we can keep the young core of this team. James and Oli. I like CCV but his passing instincts are lacking, the future is not with Routledge or Naughton.

I agree. The stupid twat ran the clock down nicely for them. What an idiot!!

Over the 90 minutes I felt we were well worth a draw but Norwich kicked on whilst we fell away in the second half - as I feared. We so miss a tough Ferrie Bodde type, someone who can patrol midfield and create space for others to play. Mind you, Bodde could play as well as any of them.

It was obvious that Norwich would up their game and we couldn't quite match them. Typically their first shot on target well into the second half went in for the winner. It happens but what I said about focus came home to roost. Grimes, who otherwise had a decent game, didn't close his man on the edge of the area and the yard of space that he allowed was enough to cost us. Criminal. And even more criminal later on when Naughton and Grimes AGAIN failed to close their man on the edge of the box but luckily nothing came of it. Did they not learn from the first goal? And it was also a tactic we used on the night, pulling the ball back for a strike on the edge of the box, but their strike was better than any of ours.

That said, I felt the overall performance was pretty good against tough opponents; particularly the first half when we could well have gone in a goal up. Our youngsters are still on a learning curve and they need more experience and to harden up to mount a challenge for the top places. It won't happen this season but, providing we can keep the youngsters, they will only get better the more games they play and maybe we can look forward to a good challenge next season.

What Nordy did would be what I would do if I was part of a match fix. Look like you’re seriously trying to do something without doing anything .... but he should know better.

Some nice comments from Norwich manager Daniel Farke who said: "It was a complicated game as Swansea were FANTASTIC. They are by far the best team we have played in recent months".

The lads can take a lot of confidence from this performance especially as we were missing top scorer Oli Mac who might have made a difference. So much was right in this game and if they can do this on a consistent basis the team can look forward to a bright future. Let's hope they will be allowed the chance. Some stats:

Possession: 48-52 Shots: 8-12 OT: 1-5 Corners: 7-8 Fouls:13-15 Goals: 1-0

Well played, lads!!!

The football we play under Potter is better than the football we played under Martinez, Rodgers and Laudrup.

Imagine Potter with Fabianski, Davies, Williams, Chico, Rangel, Britton, De Guzman, Pablo, Gylfi, Sinclair, James and Michu on top of their game?

That would be a firework.

Think it's worth a mention that this is Championship opposition whereas Laudrups was Premiership & European.

Now you've done it!! Made me think of the best Welsh born team the Swans could field over the ages that I actually saw play for us. This is off the top of my head with no thought about options, so there will be some glaring omissions - and I've got a little cheat in there as our centre forward. :)

Roger Freestone

Connor Roberts Mel Charles Ray Daniel Ben Davies

Leighton James Robbie James Alan Curtis Ivor Allchurch Cliffy Jones

John Charles

There are so many other choices I could make that I might include on another day including Coleman at LB, Wyndham Evans at RB, non-stop John Mahoney in midfield, Len Allchurch and Terry Medwin both wingers, and Ashley Williams at CB etc etc. For those that don't know, Ray Daniel played for the best teams in the country, was a superb, elegant footballer who would be valued today in the £50 million bracket. Mel alongside him was as versatile as his brother, tall, robust and good in the air. I only wish that I could have included Curt's uncle Roy Paul in midfield who was top class and as tough as teak. Nobody messed with him!! And also Trevor Ford, again top class and so physical he was a defender's nightmare. But I never saw those two play for the Swans, so I had to leave them out.

Look at the firepower from the front SIX!!!!! Big John would win everything in the air up front and when his brother joined him at set pieces, you'd almost be guaranteed a goal. Anyway, that's my quickfire selection. If I thought harder, I might tweak it but it'll do me for now. :)

PS: I know I've not selected a sitting midfielder but I would manage this lot on the basis that if the other team got 3 we'd get 10 ! :D

Not consistent enough, constantly blowing hot and cold. Nothing imo. would or could exceed Laudrups game against WBA.

I think we would all agree with that. And I'm sure we also all agree that Pott's is doing a great job with the resources at his disposal. If he can keep the youngsters maybe we can have our version of the Busby Babes in the form of Potter's Prodigies next season. :) It can be done: look at what the kids at Ajax did to Real Madrid recently.
