It's about time these disparate groups got together and formed a single cohesive unit which would have far more clout than splinter groups. Trouble is I'm guessing that the 'leaders' of the various groups all want to be the Big Cheese, or at least want a seat at the top table so it will probably never happen.

Meantime I'm reading in the Sun that Jenkins is approaching Middle Eastern backers with a view to a takeover down the line and, if this happened, he could be back as a part owner. God forbid!! I'm quite happy to have new owners wherever they're from so long as Jenkins and cohorts are not part of the deal. The only silver lining in recent events is that we've got rid of Jenkins and no way do I want him back.

As for the game, some stats:

Possession 62-38 Shots: 15-11 OT: 5-3 Corners: 9-5 Fouls: 8-10 GOALS: 1-0

I can't comment from a personal POV as I only listened to the game but I have read practically everything on offer about the match. The consensus is that we well deserved the win which could have been by more. But yet again defensive frailties could have cost us points and Potter and his staff have to address this ongoing problem that keeps costing us.

This demo was highjacked by a group called the union.
They led the protesters off early at 12 rather than the advertised time of 12.30 leaving 600 demonstrators still drinking in the pubs!
Why 'highjack' it when they're all striving for the same objective, were the ones that turned up at the Castle Gardens SOS supporters or this Union group. I think I read the SOS demonstrators were asked to meet at 11-30 am in the Castle gardens to organise, but when the organisers arrived after 12-00 pm they'd left, can you really blame them if the organisers couldn't be there on time. I also note the toothless SCSA didn't throw their weight behind either group, after threatening to do a similar thing themselves for a year. I'm surprised they didn't "highjack' both groups and claim the whole thing for themselves.
Congratulations to those that did march, irrespective who they represented they did it for the right reasons.

Wouldn't mind a Arab takeover, be it preferably from the UAE, very football orientated and love to be the best at what they do, unlike our yanks, these people have money. If Jenkins were to be involved in any takeover he has nothing to offer them being he holds no position in the club so couldn't be involved in any devious negotiations on our behalf. if anything be a very small shareholder with some of the money we allowed him due to our one time trust in him.

If Jenkins were to be involved he would ask to be the chairman again and "control" the club.

Some highlights from the game. Thought Byers was really good from what's on the limited footage and his willingness to shoot from distance is a weapon that the team badly needs. Earned us 3 points in this game. Keep doing it, George, because no one else seems to want to.

Also a shout for Declan John. Perhaps he's growing into the team and I like some of the crosses he was putting in. Hope his injury isn't serious.

Yeesh is How doing this behind the backs of the current owners? Or is he helping them get out? Absurd to want to come back as an owner. Maddening. You stepped down you got paid just go away. I wouls love to have an ugodly rich owner but not one who is dumb enough to have Jenkins part of the club. They don't need him to buy the club.

Jenkins' only prayer of getting the Current owners to sell out is if they are on the "oops we fucked up, let's suck it dry to recoup and dump it" strategy. If the current owners have a plan to return to the Prem then they are not going to be interested in exiting at this point. If the current owners are on a recoup and exit bent then they might be inclined to take a "best loss" and exit as no buyer would give them what they originally paid for the Club in a cash flow crisis (if true).

It could be heading that way if Pearlman is to be believed, I don't think the club is the cash cow they anticipated, nothing much left to sell now, they've taken it down to the bone in their very short time of ownership. Hopefully they'll cut their losses and run.
As for Jenkins ever being involved in the running of the club again, let alone regaining his seat as chairman I would think would never happen. His CV wouldn't make good reading to any potential buyers.
He was gullible enough to be used for a price in the sale of the club. From then on the yanks IMO wanted him out. Can anyone recall the yanks ever coming to his assistance when the entire fanbase was calling for him to go. They (yanks) were happy to allow the fans to do the job for them, knowing the fans pressure plus no cooperation from them would eventually break him. He is a knowingly failed bankrupt business man, proven to be unable to run a small business, who expects to walk back into the chair of a multi-million pound concern and bring it to its knees once again. NEVER HAPPEN.

John's crosses were excellent. He is getting better and better. Byers is a class act.
Good chance to step up now. Leeds is going to be a tough match. Oli might not start again. It will be Interesting to see what kind of formation Graham chooses.

Nice little interview of George. I think he's a bright talent who can go on to do great things for us......... providing the owners keep their greedy sticky paws off him. WANKS OUT, ARABS IN!! :)
