Impressive! He has always been willing to progress the ball forward. But what puts him so far ahead with through ball success?
I think it is because we, AT LAST, have a group of willing runners to receive said through balls. I would put on that list James, Roberts, Dyer, Celina for wide balls and McBurnie and Routledge in the middle.
We saw plenty of "through balls" from our PL side but unfortunately no team mate moved to receive it.
I recently looked at the highlights of Swans 3 WBA 1 from Nov 2012. Saturday's performance bears comparison. Not quite there but arguably better opposition.
Well done, Graham Potter, for it must be down to you.

He was up front for the dying minutes of the robbery on Saturday. That would be a Potter ploy, to play him as striker!
Though he might be struggling to put another CB on the team sheet.

I’m pretty sure the club has an option to extend VdH’s contract for next season. I can see them selling a lot of players, but not him.

They may well extend his contract, but that won't stop them selling him. Do you really think they care about our key players? If that were the case Siggy & Llorente would still be with us and there's every chance that we would still be in the Premiership, and with Potter rather than the five of idiot Jenkins' previous managers, surviving. And more importantly,of course, without American ownership.

There's now talk of wholesale redundancies and some good behind the scenes folk are going to lose their jobs just so the club can continue to feed the investors. I know that cuts have to be made but many of these could be averted if the Wanks made good on the promises they made when they bought the club: the main one being that they would invest their OWN money in players. We all know that they haven't stumped up a penny piece.

What I want to know is what the Trust are doing about the dodgy takeover. They have made noises but now all has gone silent again. Do they intend to take action? If they do, when and what do they propose? If not, WHY not? We need to be informed but the Trust seems to be treating we fans with the same disdain the owners do. The question has to be asked, is the Trust fit for purpose? Perhaps it's time for a shake-up.

Trust's promise of statements etc that they made in January for the Feb/March period have been empty. It's all gone much, much too quiet within the Trust. It is now as dumb as when the current chairman was in the role previously. Strange how things repeat isn't it.
