Some posters will know that as a member of two other forums, I created threads on cancer and other medical conditions, which proved quite popular. Anyway, I came across the following article today in The Telegraph, which is about cancer detection by dogs. I have been aware of this for some time and absolutely believe in this new science. Seems my faith has beeen rewarded. Dogs can now also detect sugar levels in humans and warn them of critical levels purely by smelling the body odour. It's incredible but true and huge advances are being made in this field.

Do read, it's eye-opening!!

Great news of a fantastic breakthrough in the fight against cancer by scientists at Cardiff University. This is NOT just another piece of clickbait and I ran it by a pharmacist friend of mine who's pretty excited by the news. Seems this is a genuine chance to beat this foul disease once and for all.

Immune cell which kills most cancers discovered by accident by British scientists in major breakthrough
What effect will this have on CCFC? All jokes aside I've lost my dad and countless friends to cancer. Several others have survived. That is a gutting disease to watch someone go through.

I've also lost close friends and family to cancer but I've beaten the bastard 3 times already since 2008. Now on drugs and injections to keep the 4th assault at bay and so far so good....... I suppose I'm living proof that it CAN be beaten and, believe me, the first attack was about as serious as it gets and came out of nowhere. I had radical surgery the first time then, 4 years later when it reappeared, I had to undergo 32 sessions of radiotherapy. BUT I WON!! And so can most other people in this day and age. The secret is EARLY treatment yet, ironically, I had 3 biopsies that missed it, so it was more developed than it should have been. Even so, I recovered. But get an early checkup if you suspect anything, no matter how trivial. It could save your life.

This new development really is exciting and offers fantastic hope in the near future. My pharmacist friend has seen many developments but none have impressed him as much as this latest news. And he's a hard man to convince!! :)

That is awesome. We're lucky we can do that in this day and age. What could people do 100 years ago, not much.

My sister's husband had weird issues where he was getting cold chills and it turned out to be colon cancer but so far so good. Got to it just in time.
