How lives do we have leftOnly one point off third place. Incredible.
It was down to our level of play, Luton were not allowed to be good, and we were making zero unforced errors, actually zero errors at all. A completely elevated level of play. Even Byers finally got his shit together and Celina was acceptable during that spell but deserving of being sub’d.Pleased with that. I predicted 1-0 or 2-1 in the OP but I sure as hell didn't select us in 7otb!! Sounded like a good win and, as you lads posted, particularly deserved for a very decent second half. If this was down to our good play rather than Luton being the pits and playing like it, then it's a very encouraging start to the holiday games. Here's hoping that the lads don't start going on holiday too soon and don't spoil this result by throwing points away in the next game.
Ayew seems to be MOM in most games these days. Wish the rest of them would follow his non-stop work ethic and example even if he does run down blind alleys on occasion. As for Grimes, maybe he should relinquish the captaincy as the responsibility tends to impact on some players' games.Ayew was mom. Grimes is half the captain that Ayew actually is.
Watford ??? Did I fall asleep and miss a seasonWatford ???
Eerily similar to our relegation campaign; a bunch of mediocrity but we couldn't rise above the garbage; I wonder if we can do it this time.A Jekyll and Hyde performance for me. What we saw for the last 30 minutes or so of the match was lights out compared to what went before and the dross we’ve served up in previous matches in the Shit Streak. We went from mediocre at best (don’t know what match Curt was watching) to couldn’t and didn’t do a thing wrong in terms of passing, tempo, and movement. Byers in particular was on the boil. What happened?
The Swans of the last 30 could beat anybody in this league. We have more lives than a cat, because here we are, two points from 3rd, and just 3 wins + from 2nd. A Stellar Streak of wins instead of stumbling mediocrity could easily see us threaten the automatic places.
There’s no time like the present.
