I get your points, guys, but why not aim for us to become a middling Premier League club and play our great football there? We showed over 7 years that this is an achievable target. We get far more exposure being in the PL in terms of media coverage, MOTD etc and the money we would earn there would help fund our Academy to keep attracting and producing great youngsters to feed into the club. Lots of benefits to be had at the top level but of course I accept that it's no fun to be involved in a perpetual relegation struggle. Thing is, we don't have to be.
Totally agree Ivor, I think we're all pretty much aware had Laudrup stayed he would have kept us safely in the premiership, but the knives were out for him, with Jenkins at the time being the main culprit. Whether he was under instructions or not, he was the one that pulled the trigger. Laudrup was starved of a striker by the board, yet Jenkins in his infinate Premiership wisdom brought in two useless hasbeens. the rest is history. If we are fortunate enough to gain promotion again do we honestly think the promotion, TV monies, and other add ons will be used to enhance the future of the club ??

What @Behindthegoal and @Jackflash are saying is that they would rather have us playing good attacking football in the Champiomship than playing crappy defensive football in the Premier league. I agree with them. We have to improve if we want to be ready to really compete in the Premier League. We have to add that much needed tempo, agressivity and high pressing to our passing style of play. At least for the first 70 minutes of every match.

A big shout out goes to our amazing supporters , they did not stop singing and chanting throughout the game , my favourite moment , after we scored they came up with a version of swans will tear you apart again - Leeds, Leeds are falling apart again ! Absolutely doubled my pleasure at the result
Our away fans are amazing. Wish I'd been there.

I'm with you, Mith. Our style must never be sacrificed on the altar of success. Been there, done that.
You know me, I'd rather stay as THE footballing side in the championship than watch us in the PL fighting at all costs to avoid relegation.
The Championship is definitely more entertaining than the Premier. The playoffs are nervy but winning that last spot is the best win in football. I wonder if there's ever going to be another underdog Leiscester City. There has to be a group of players who love the game and have the cahones to join a team like Swansea and take down all the Top 6.

I would be surprised if something like 1992 didn't happen again soon. Doesn't have to be a top EUFA team league but something to make the Premier more interesting. Too much potential money involved I think. TV deals want to open up more markets. Don't know if it will be good for the league but I feel like something will change. More players who go against the grain would be nice.
