Johnson's speech.

What a load of crap ! It's taken a couple of weeks to come up with a load of advice that the general public has been adhering to for almost 8 weeks. We don't need the PM to come on TV to tell us to "Be Alert" or "Socialising with the 2 metre rule". we are all blessed with common sense. Apart from MP's it would seem.
His clenched fists don't become him. Spending his time sucking up to the general public with praise, whereas he should be admitting his governments faults that has rocketed our death rate,ie. allowing functions attracting hundreds of thousands attendance.Airports allowing anyone in unchecked. This government is without doubt a big reason for the high death rate, and I hope those responsible will be held to account when this virus is put to bed.

Johnson's Common sense and be alert speech appears to have fallen on deaf ears, and rightly so. As much as I dislike Nicola Sturgeon I totally agree with her request for Johnson's (advice) TV broadcast to be banned from Scottish TV. I think Wales & N.I, are of the same opinion, not wanting to take Johnson's advise seriously. Is the man stark raving mad, where there is now unequivocal evidence that relaxing any lockdown rules lead to an immediate increase in cases.
Go back to work he says, does the idiot expect the thousands that will cram themselves onto the tubes to keep 2 mtrs apart. is that what the fool calls common sense. Common sense is staying off public transport and not going to work.
His speech made no reference to how or why we are probably the worlds highest death rate on a death to population ratio, only clenched fist desk banging, attempting to get his and his government associates approval for their totally failed attempt to get to grips with this crisis earlier.

We locked down too late and now he wants to come out too early and risk a second wave, it doesn’t make sense.
There are people in Wales, Scotland and NI thinking the new rules apply to them.
His speech didn’t make it clear it was only England, it should have been broadcast there only. Mind you there are some dull people around as well as some who will flagrantly breach the regulations.
Only now he’s decided to introduce 14 day quarantine rules for the 15,000 a week who are still entering the UK on flights, but inexplicably excluding France and Southern Ireland from the list. They’ve all been coming in throughout without any checks whatsoever, even though we knew it was Brits returning from skiing holidays in virus ravaged Northern Italy who started the epidemic here.
Coupled with the crazy “herd immunity” idea which was soon abandoned, the PPE shortage for front line workers after the rejecting of an EU offer to be included in a PPE bulk buy order, turning down offers for PPE supply from British companies, then getting sub-standard unusable PPE supplies from Turkey. The excluding of Care Home death tolls in the daily casualty list, sending untested for virus patients from hospitals to Care Homes to create hospital bed space, consequently spreading the virus even further to the vulnerable elderly there. The abandonment of testing at the beginning of the crisis, then belatedly bringing it back, the list goes on.

As you say lliwt yr lavac there is so much that could have been done so much earlier.A government changing horses in mid-stream,resulting in the proportionately worse death rate in the world. We are led by a buffoon who openly boasted on TV that he shook hands with everyone in the hospital prior to himself being infected.
Regarding the rejected PPE material from Turkey, Turkey supplied 32 other countries with PPE and no rejection from them and obviously using them themselves, It's a country with 1.8 Million more population than us, there stats are very low. 3.6K deaths and a present death rate in the low 40's.If we are rejecting this PPE due to advise from our so called medical experts, then I think they should look at the advise given over the last 4 months and our total death count to date. We appear to have done almost the exact opposite to other successful countries. There doesn't appear to be any safety criteria on PPE by the W.H.O. and in any case one would think any protection is better than none. There's also the fear that relaxing lock down will in invite a second wave which could well exceed the present.

It seems to general feeling of the public is that Cummings should go. A newspaper poll returned figures 81% that he should go. No one believes his pathetic stories, for instance,he was driving to have his eyes tested as he felt there was a problem, what sort of an idiot takes his child/children in the back of the car when he doubts his own eyesight. The man is a liar.He broke the rules that he assisted in making, in doing so has also put the country at risk of a second wave, as the public feel no need to adhere to any rules as a government top adviser feels it's quite safe to travel. pictures and videos on beaches and parks show the public reaction to his travel.

I see after 3 months Boris& Co have decided that masks provide some sort of protection, in certain situations. (took some working out that) but that's what we pay £ millions to out top advisers for.Like Cummings who knew what his intentions were, made sure enough loopholes were in the rules to accommodate what he did. It's one thing to sit in the rose garden and make a statement, he needs to be publicly interrogated by someone like Piers Morgan. It also doesn't detract from the fact that someone can arrive at our airport from ANYWHERE, and go ANYWHERE without being tested.
