Interesting stats

Swans have conceded only 5 goals from set pieces in 18 home games. Pretty decent. In our 20 away games we conceded 12 set pieces goals. This doesn't look good but two games against WBA and and Forest have boosted the stats in the negative direction. Without these two games Swans conceded only 7 set pieces goals in 18 away games, which is pretty decent too. Not perfect, but not bad either.

Swansea have averaged 1.56 points per game this season.
In the last 8 games Swansea have averaged 1.50 points per game.
Diff. is -3.8 %

Swansea have scored misserable 1.19 goals per game this season.
In the last 8 games the average is even more miserable 1.00 goal per game.
Diff. is -16 %

Swansea have conceded 1.11 goals per game this season, which is not bad, but in the last 8 games they have conceded 1.25 goals per game.
Diff. is +12.6 %

Conclusion

Even in this relatively good period, when it comes to results Swansea have gone backwards both offensively and defensively.

If we are scoring on average 1 gpg and conceding on average 1.25 gpg, then we are more likely to lose than not. And, as we saw at QPR and WBA, when we can't keep our shit together it all goes to shit.

Subtract out the aberration of August and what does these do to these number, or at least discount August to the current run rate.

Run-in overview

Of the above 19 remaining matches in the Championship, Swans will be playing more matches away (10) than at home (9).

Considering the opponents' Points Per Game (PPG), Swans remaining away matches feature a higher combined opposition PPG average than their remaining home matches.

Swans' opponents to be played in home games currently have a combined average of 1.19 Points Per Game in their away matches played so far this season in the league.

As for the hosts that Swans will be visiting, so far this season they have a combined average of 1.61 Points Per Game at home in the league.

Conclusion

We have a much 'easier' run of games at home turf.
