We all know that Jenkins struck lucky with Brendan Rodgers who was something like his 5th choice as manager. In a similar vein, whilst watching Norwich hammer QPR earlier, one of the commentators remarked that Pukki was one of their 2nd choice strikers when they wanted to buy one. But not only that he was only their 3rd choice of second striker. Anyway, he ended up signing for them and has since fired about 25 goals this season to propel Norwich to almost certain promotion.
Goes to show that no matter how good a team is, Lady Luck plays such an important part and you get nowhere without it. The same applies to life, I suppose.
