Wayne has signed a new deal ...... the first positive moment for the Club this close season. Excellent news. He was a force last season at this level, and I expect him to be a significant contributor to our promotion campaign next season.

Swansea City are delighted to announce Wayne Routledge has signed a new one-year deal with the club.

Routledge will enter a ninth season at the Liberty after penning a new deal which runs until June 2020.

The winger had briefly left the club after his previous contract expired but will remain in SA1 for another 12 months following successful talks with chairman Trevor Birch.

“I am going into my ninth season with Swansea City. Just saying that puts a big smile on my face,” said Routledge.

“I had a few clubs earlier in my career but then I found Swansea City, and Swansea City found me.
