If he can play #9 then fine, because we are not short of wingers.
We are short of wingers who can score 15+ goals per season. Remember Sinclair? If this young lad continues to score at this rate, and he's already scored 18 goals in half season, he'll score 30+ goals, which is extraordinary for a winger. Danish league is similar to Championship in terms of quality.
When you add to this that he is a free-kick specialist (scored some stunnimg goals from 35-40 yards), then it's a big plus.
Oli, who I am a big fan of, is struggling to be what he was in this league last season. Either we're not servicing him right, or not using him right, or he's gone completely off t
Disagree with you on this one. Olie has already scored 8 goals and has 3 assists. His work rate is excellent. I am against one dimensional styles of play where the whole burden of scoring goals is on strikers' shoulders. I want both our striker, wingers and midfielders to share that burden. Olie is excellent at build-up play and high pressing, and to me that's as important as scoring goals. I don't want us to go back to what got us relegated - a big lump up front and wingers who only can cross.
Firmino at Liverpool is a good example. He is not scoring many goals, but what he does is extremely important for what they do.
Not only that Olie is our top scorer, he is also the player who contributed to most Swansea goals this season.
Our
@jackodiamonds has an excellent Regressive assists index on his site and there you can see how many first and second assists each Swansea player has. For players who have played significant number of minutes this season Olie tops the list. He has been involved in 17 goals this season either by scoring or providing first and second assists. That's excellent.
This table has to be updated, Celina scored and assisted against Sheffield Wednesday.
