I saw Cooper and Birch were working on loans for our younger players. What will come about with that, I don't know if Dhanda is going to get a lot of minutes on this team. I'm not sure who else could be loaned. Declan John? He seems too important even with Naughton and Wilmot. Wonder if they would actually loan Garrick. I kind of want to watch him get his minutes with the Swans.

Probably talking about some of the under 23s
He must be, I'm surprised Dhanda got the start but it's nice that Cooper is trying to get everyone playing time. He's really trying to get Garrick in there now. I think we'll probably see a lot of younger players get a start in the Cambridge match. Maybe we'll see Peterson, Surridge, Routledge and Mckay in that one. Declan John, Cabango and Garrick too. Tuesday Leeds will play Stoke again in the Carabao after beating them 3-0 Saturday. Swans play Cambridge Wednesday. Leeds get an extra day to rest before the big match at Elland Road.

I would have thought and hope they'll keep , if only as an impact player

We were a little critical of Dhanda starting, but i didn't think he had that bad a game, it will have done his first team confidence a lot of good. With such a small squad we have to keep blooding these youngsters, who in fact are a lot of the reason we are where we are today.

Let’s not forget that even James’ loan spell failed........
31/8/17
“Shrewsbury Town can confirm that Dan James’ loan spell has been terminated by mutual consent and he will return to Swansea City.
Dan joined Town on-loan from Swansea this summer, but he hasn’t been able to force his way into Paul Hurst’s side.
The club would like to thank Dan for his hard work and dedication during his time with the club.”
...but let’s wish Biabi luck and the experience will be vital.
Its hard to believe that the same player is part of the Manchester United first team a little over sixteen months later. Surely the manager and coaching staff of Shrewsbury have had a lot to answer to from their fans.
Maybe we should be looking at the guy he failed to replace:D

Some players suit a certain style of football and others don't. Over the years there must be thousands of players who flopped at one or more clubs before finding their niche, their fit, with another club and then gone on to do really well.

By the way, reading that Wilf Bony is interesting Inter Milan on a short term deal that might lead to a decent contract if it works out. I, for one, hope it does and wish Wilf every success.

I've never understood the value in sending a quality player to a hole like Shrewsbury or any lower league club. For what purpose? Are they going to get better coaching .... no? Are they going to be practicing against quality seniors .... no? Are they going to be playing against quality opposition .... no? Are they going to be in an environment that plays our way .... definitely no? Are they going to have the shit kicked out of them .... yes, unless they are a big unit in their own right and their presence protects them! Having the shit kicked out of you is a real milestone in development or sitting around on match days because you don't fit into their hoof-ball model ... not so much!

Only 12 appearances for Grimes at Leeds. There's another bit of trivia, what former Swansea player did Graham Potter coach in Sweden?
