FA Cup - Man City

Well if we're going to win the cup, we have to beat them sometime. Better sooner than later. A home tie. Let's hope Pep has his eye on bigger trophies and 'Pool are stretching out a lead in the Prem

Agreed. Better now than in the final :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:. Jokes aside, they CAN be beaten but we have to play great counter-attacking football and unleash James at every opportunity.

Anyway, the game against the best team in world football is going to be a great experience for our young lads, especially for Celina.

A lot of our players are going to be either pumped up and at the races or totally overawed. Let's hope they believe enough in themselves to go out and give it a go. No replay.

Now I wonder .... which of our two keepers will Potter pick between the pipes.

I don't know about you but I just had a feeling we were drawing Man City. I said the same thing, we'd have to face them sooner or later to win the cup. Might as well be now. At least it's home at the Liberty!

James and Oli would be legend if they pulled out a win. I'm think back to last season against Liverpool when Mawson snuck that goal in. I'd rather see a more attacking game though. We have players who have plenty experience against top tier clubs.

You never know in the Cup. Head says we'll get totally stuffed but heart says that there's always a chance. Trouble is we aren't the sort of team that will unduly worry Citeh. A team that just might spring a surprise would be hard-arsed, in their faces from the first whistle and be fit and strong enough to match their movement. Newport pointed the way and Citeh glossed the scoreline only in the last couple of minutes.

But we are not that kind of team are we? Still, stranger things have happened and I'll be hoping with all my heart and soul that we can somehow scramble a result. If not, I'd settle for a good performance with every player giving 100%. They can do no more. COYS!!!!!!!!

I totally agree with this Yankee. If we win this one we certainly have to feel there’s no reason we couldn’t carry on to the final.

We did. We shipped Montero off to WBA.
That hurts. My ideal front would be just that. James and Montero on either wing and Celina,
McBurnie. I'm excited for this match next month. Don't need to tell these boys what it would do for their careers. Let's do what Newport County couldn't.

We must be doing something right to reach the quarterfinals twice running. It’s also a good opportunity to showcase our stars for the summer sales.

Do we want to be doing that? Even if we made good money it'll only end up in the pockets of the Wanks with nothing spent on good replacements. My hope would be that outside investors might see us as a viable proposition and buy out the shysters.

The only way to keep your best players is to be among the best clubs in the best league and even then it's not guaranteed ... as we know. However, you get to attract better players ... Michu, so it may be a push. Controlling finances is one thinking but the only way to get out of purgatory is to get promoted. If/when we get promoted the likes of James et al will be sorted on the interim and will remove a bunch of buyers from the market.

If as reported Jenkins is attempting to do, then the odds of Middle East investment into football will be slowing down dramatically, as Honda stated they're pulling the plug due to a slowing demand for petrol cars. Electric vehicles are the future,it's in its infancy atm but given a few years electric sales will have overtaken petrol and diesel, a huge threat to the Middle East economy. Eventually we'll have charging points in parking bays, replacing filling stations. Out here in Turkey I have an electric scooter, costs me absolutely nothing to run for 9 months of the year and very little in the winter months, it has a solar charger built into it which keeps it mobile most of the year.
