Interesting that apparently he was at the club all of last season on a training contract, but when we had players going down with effectively season ending injuries we never activated him. Surely he could have had an impact.

Probably common sense to everyone except Cooper.

That’s what I thought. Sorry @Yankee_Jack you can’t blame andy for that.

Dyer was a free agent. There was nothing preventing the Club from registering him to play and modifying any contract to cover compensation. If he was training regularly, they could have easily processed him through a physical and assessed his fitness and readiness and then included him in an appropriate regimen to get him match fit.

There was nothing to stop them offering him another year like our other surviving legend from the Laudrup era. I don’t think the manager had a rear view mirror
