Capitulation. .
Instead of driving for promotion the Club has capitulated. Andy Pandy has been given a few toys he thinks he knows how to play with, but in truth has less of a clue than a two year old with a box of LEGO bricks. Has the club done a cost benefit analysis and realized that spending money to reinforce the squad would be a waste of money because Andy Pandy wouldn’t be able to use them. Is the thinking ... “We can’t afford to fire him, but we’re not going to plough money into wasteful ineptitude”. Perhaps Britton, Curtis and Birch have done that analysis and decided not to commit, but prune, and save money for next season. Perhaps we will see Andy Pandy terminated at the end of the season when his payout will be less.
For all practical purposes the season is over. Our one goal now is not to be relegated. Such is the quality of the league that with a minimal squad and Ivor’s statue picking the team ... i.e, the players basically sorting it out themselves ... we can avoid being relegated.
Why should we pay money at the turnstiles to watch this, to be a part of capitulation. The Club has called it a day ... hell I can find plenty of things to do with my time than watch a team play 25% of a match and stumble and bumble its way to the end of the season.
