We never used Montero properly. We had LBs that kept overlapping and running into his channels. We never helped him nor took advantage when he was double and triple teamed by opponents. Whenever we did he would murder full backs and created some great goals. The only LB who really played to Montero’s benefit was Grimes, who was smart enough to get him the ball early then stay out of the way.

Montero is excellent at crossing the ball and that's it. Apart from his perfect crosses, he contributes nothing to the team he plays for. One trick pony who has scored 5 goals in 8 years in European football and who is always injured. I don't miss him at all. We need James Nr. 2 on the right flank.
