Alan Nixon in the Sun reports that: "Swansea chiefs are prepared to sell at a reduced price of £38 million." He goes on to say that they will demand a £15 million bonus if the Swans make the Premier League within 5 years. Wol carry the story: Swans ownership situation as report claims Americans name selling price
Nixon says that the owners are open to approaches at a realistic price rather than face the further misery of cutbacks............ and sources say groups from around the globe have shown interest......... however it would take investment from the Americans to get back to the big time AND THAT IS NOT IN THEIR PLANNING [my caps]. So a proper offer and an extra payment if the next owners go up will clinch a deal.
What FANTASTIC news if this is true. Time will tell but I wonder if the owners are prepared to cut and run A) because of the impending court case B) because there's not much left to milk and C) there won't be if they're not prepared to invest. Of course, I appreciate that this is still at the gossip stage but Nixon is usually well-informed about such matters and he has to have had some sort of realistic information to go with the story. Let's hope we hear more positive news on this in the near future But if there is any merit in the story, let's hope that some genuine buyers will come forward whose interest is in the future of our club. One final thought; why oh why couldn't I have won that lottery jackpot of £169 million? We'd never have to worry about our future again!
