I'm thinking when Citeh and the other big boys have a closer look they'll realise Dan is not that special.
OK he's got pace, but the athletic full backs in the Prem could stop him if they had a yard or two start.
He also wins a lot of balls by pouncing on a poor first touch by the goalie/defender, but the top professionals have excellent ball control.
All in all, our owners could make a few million, but much less than the current hype, but they will probably balance that against the mega millions on offer if we keep him next season and return to our rightful place at the top table.
Just a further thought, Dan, if you have to choose, Giggsy won't pick you if you're not playing regularly.

Yes, Wales have got some great potential right now. Looking at midfield/strikers, in addition to Dan we have players such as Bale, Ramsey, Allen, Wilson, Woodburn, Lawrence and Roberts x 2. If Giggs can meld them into a cohesive unit we could give any team a good game.

I remember how 'excellent' ball control Branislav Ivanovic had when we twice stole the ball from him and scored at Stamford Bridge in League Cup semi-finals. ;).

My point is, too many Premier League players are overrated. Stoke squad is full of the former Premier League players and they are crap.

I disagree. A bid of £7m is a proof how underrated he is. A couple of years ago Manchester City payed £47,5m for young John Stones. Bayern payed £45m for Renato Sanches after a couple of good games he had had at the European Championship. £70m with add-ons.

When top managers, at top clubs, pay top money for young, talented players, they pay for what that player could become.

And Dan is a special player. How many wingers have his pace? And if they have it, how many of them are using their pace properly? Even if they use their pace properly, how many of them are as good passers as Dan is, and how many of them can potentially score 15+ goals per season? Not many. And Dan is not a lazy son of a bitch, his work rate is excellent, he also tracks back and helps in defence. He can cross the ball and he is clever.

We must also remember that first in the past four months we have had a settled first XI with a more less defined style of play.

Bielsa and Pep know what they are doing.

You have better young players than Croatia.

Now being reported in WOL via The Sun that Manchester City are interested in signing Dan for £10 million with a view to lending him to relegation threatened La Ligue side Girona (one of Citeh's sister clubs) to get experience. IF this is true -

Couple of thoughts. In the present market I think that the fee is too low given Dan's enormous potential and Citeh's buying power. Secondly, why Girona? They are a struggling side, not the best environment in which to develop a player. If they are going to loan him out, why not let him stay with the Swans and continue his proven successful development under Graham Potter? He would also be at home and able to enjoy the familiarity and company of his friends and team mates. Finally, I would hope that we would include a decent sell on percentage clause in the contract. Dan is young, home grown and already an international player, so that should be recognised down the line.

All that said, it would be great if we could keep him along with all our other young guns. Fat chance though. Somewhere in my mind I hear the avaricious squawking of multi-million pound investors demanding their pound of flesh to help fund their lavish life-styles. How in God's name did these owners ever pass the standard test of being fit and proper for purpose? Why do the authorities allow them to bleed a British club dry to siphon off funds abroad? AND WHAT THE FUCK IS THE TRUST DOING ABOUT IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PS: Reading that the Idiot is trying to form a consortium to buy Blackpool. If this is true, God help them.
