Coming to us apparently.

Fantastic signing if true. Easily gets a spot in the midfield for me. Very tenacious and hungry to win the ball, could be a very important signing if we are serious about promotion.

He was on loan to Charlton then recalled on the 20th. Now they're flipping him to us?
Yeaj that's like doing the double, not only do we get him we steal him from our competiton. Have to wonder who's going out now. They must be plotting to sell Ayew, but we'll see. It's going to be an interesting final half of the season. A lot of tough matches ahead. I can't fault them for getting players in and not having a fire sale. At least not yet. Love to see what Gallagher and Brewster can do for us.

This has been said previously in another thread: we now have a squad with 4 players on loan that are 19 years old, and Kalulu who is 23 years old.

All of whom are expecting to play, start, and then disappear at season's end. And, this will leave us where exactly. If we get promoted we're terribly short handed and will have to acquire at premium prices. If we stay in the Championship then we've spent a season developing assets for other clubs and short changing our own.

At this point, unless you are Andy Pandy in disguise, or snorting something, does anybody really believe we are going to get promoted with this squad, playing the way we are, with this coach. It's a waste of a season. Disgraceful waste of time and money.

What is the plan after this season. They probably won't get promoted and there won't be much money to sign players. Next season could be dreadful.

@KVetch ... the club would have to go back into the loaner market and with Andy Pandy's track record so far this season, we could end up with our "senior" squad younger than our U-23's.
I saw they're trying to sell Cullen too. Might not even have him. This summer is going to be brutal unless they get lucky and somehow get promoted or new owners who aren't afraid to invest.

Are they trying to sell? From what I've read Toshack Richards want him on loan at their new club.

Honestły, I am getting tired of the underperforming and inconsistent old farts in the Swansea squad. We need some fresh blood, and I am not against taking on loan young talents from Liverpool and Chelsea. I only wish we promoted more of our own players from U23. Our kids are talented as well.

Get rid of Borja (no pace), Bidwell (no pace, no skills), Routs (lost his pace), Carroll (never been consistent, too soft), etc. and unleash the youngsters. The latter will at least try to impress, press, tackle, and run.

As for the old saying that you can't win anything with the kids, well Monaco won League 1 title and played some fantastic football in the Champions League in the following season. Half of the Monaco's first team squad were players younger than 23: M'Bappe, Fabinho, Lamar, Mendy, Bakayoko, Bernardo Silva, Jorge.

Jürgen Klopp won two Bundesliga titles with a young squad. Even in the post-Klopp era Borussia Dortmund have been known for having many youngsters in their starting XI.

Ajax played wonderful football last season and they had many youngsters in their starting XI. They won domestic titles as well and reached semi-finals in the Champions League.

This team as it is coached and plays will not get promotion. So at this point we may as well cash in on Ayew and Borja if somebody wants them and promote Cullen and deBoer and whoever else down there looks like they can pass the ball and go for it.

Gallagher is a great signing and just what we have all been calling for - a strengthening of our lightweight midfield. I have no idea why the strange move however: why withdraw him from one Championship club (Charlton) where he starts every game and has been doing very well only to give him to another Championship club where he may or may not get a start every game? All to our benefit but a bit bizarre.

I am completely dumbfounded at all the negative comments on here about the transfer window. Our business has been brilliant and will definitely improve the quality of our team and our chances for promotion. So what if they are on loan and so what if they came here because they know Steve Cooper from the U17 success - they are good players and they will fit in to our team quickly. What is all the moaning about you whinging bastards? If we get promoted there will be no shortage of quality players wanting to come to us to replace these loanees and if we don;t get promoted then we can rely on our U23s who will be even more seasoned by then. I just don't get your negativity guys. Do you not know how to enjoy life?! What we have done in the transfer window (so far) is great. Smile and enjoy it. :D:);):sneaky::giggle::geek::LOL:

It's official! He's signed. Just hope that he lives up to all the hype. I've been 'Cooper bashing' for some time now with complete justification, imo. So time to give him credit for these new signings, which originate from his time with them in the past. Be great if they all play well for us. We might have a smell of the play-offs.
