What is he seeing that we are not? Byers is not at the same level as last season.

Agree. Byers is not repaying my confidence in him with his displays as I always rated him in the 'Unders' and expected him to do much better than he is. His passing seems to have gone awry - it was pants against Cardiff but he's still young enough to realise his full potential. If he can do that, we'll have a real player on our hands. Same with young striker Liam Cullen. Been shouting his praises for a while now and I expect him to kick on and become a valuable player for us. Seems those at the Liberty agree.

He is still developing. I remember how Grimes struggled a couple of years ago. Let's wait and see what happens. Being in and out of the starting XI doesn't help either. Saying all that, I think Fulton should be playing instead of Byers.

Byers had a good preseason, he's got a good shot and makes nice sliding tackles. I'd love to see Cullen get a chance though. Who knows what will happen in January, we may need Cullen to fill a roster.

I guess what we need now is not a world beater, but somebody that can post a quality 100% for 90. We are not getting it in key areas of the field. We gift too much in the middle third, We don’t produce enough quality in the attacking third. And, we don’t play at a high enough tempo for the majority of 90.

The pair of them were an abject disgrace and should be dropped for the next game and that includes from the bench as well. Let's field some players who want to show some pride and professionalism in their performances.

Celina is another that needs re-calibration. Celina is the place where moves go to die.

At this point, I'm all for starting Peterson, moving Routs to #10, and putting Roberts and Fulton at the base of midfield.

Roberts can go box-to-box. Fulton is always neat and tidy. And we will start winning second balls in midfield.

Byers had a better performance last night against a Fulham, If that is what he can produce then the crap he has been dishing up is inexcusable
