Bony and other news

Seems the big man is ahead of schedule with his recovery from injury. But I've got a horrible feeling that the pillagers are only interested in getting him off the books when he is fit. I know that Wilf splits opinion but my belief is that he should be given every chance to show what he can do before the next window. His experience and ability just might make the difference for us. If it does and we are in a good position for a promotion push in the New Year then I think we should keep him. His wages would pale into insignificance compared to the riches on offer were we to get back first time.

But I fear that the knuts running our club are no longer that interested in promotion: that they are content to rip whatever money they can from our club before slinking back under their respective stones. And I can see young Joe Rodon as being an asset that they'll want to cash in the first chance they get.

Wilf Bony, is it time to blow the whistle and call it a day with him? £12M paid to bring in a injured player who has periodically played a few hours of football for us at the cost of probably somewhere in the region of £1M an hour if not more. Out once again with a calf strain. It looks as if this injury problem is going to be an ongoing thing. He's costing us Millions whereas we could have surely got a very decent striker for his fee and wages.

Bony is a hope and a prayer. Either he’s not looking after himself properly or at his age (whatever that is) he’s too fragile to work at the level he needs to in order to be fit. Either way, we’re moaning about the cost of Dyer et al and they can contribute, which is nonsensical considering the money we’ve spent and will spend on Bony.

Well - Dyer and Routs forever I say! They fair threw themselves at it today fair play to them they were amazing - the weather was shocking many of the seats down the front were abandoned as people got wetter and wetter and colder and colder - wilf I fear has had his day - he’s way too tight in his gait and looks like an injury waiting to happen - Jeff is fragile too but to a lesser degree - every time he hits the deck I wonder if he’ll get up - the sad part is that they could lend so much to the squad but hats off to all of them today - they earned their wages imho

Hardly prolific is he? Read this in the Sun and they are saying that he's on £55k a week and Boro would expect us to pay the lot. Fat chance!!
