Never seen this guy perform @blandmural but I love Elvis's stuff. Might well give this a whirl. Some tribute acts can be incredibly good. The best I've seen to date was a singer called Pete Nabarro who did Neil Diamond. Caught his set in Fuengirola, Spain and was completely bowled over and I'm a fussy bugger when it comes to music. I invited an acquaintance, a local DJ who did his own Neil Diamond stuff, to go along. He was pretty reluctant but I saw him at the club venue during a break and asked him what he thought. "Fcuking awesome!!" was the reply.

In between songs, a member of the audience shouted out that he'd seen Neil Diamond live in Las Vegas and that Pete was every bit as good! I saw his set often after that and, one night at the Club Elefante in Benalmadena, took a lady friend along. Pete was doing the rounds of the audience getting them to sing bits of Song Sung Blue. The mic ended up in front of my friend's nose and she promptly ducked away leaving me with the job.

I was stuck with it. But while this brief delay was taking place the backing tape was still carrying on, so when I started singing my piece I had to catch up by singing very quickly. Pete knew what the problem was and had a big grin on his face and, as he turned away to find his next 'victim', he looked back at me and said, "Interesting phrasing!" Bastards, both of them. :ROFLMAO: But great fun.

😂 that's brilliant. I'm a fellow fussy bugger and a lot of Elvis acts are a bit naff but Ben Portsmouth is brilliant. He's a few leagues above the 'Welsh Elvis' lol (but I think this guy may be an Elvis Cridlington tribute rather than an Elvis Presley one)
