Well, they've finally done it ... totally fucked up the Football home page by removing the matches/scores and league table panels from the right side in favor of advertising.

Could they possible be any more useless and inept.

I use BBC Sport and everything is the same with no ads. When games are being played the tables, results and fixtures are shown on the right. As of now, because there's no games, none of appears but you can click on subheadings for current tables, recent results and forthcoming fixtures etc.

Prior to today or late yesterday, you could go to Football - latest news today, results & video highlights - BBC Sport and on the right side panel there would be a sub-panel of fixtures plus scores for whatever league you had selected above it; and below that a panel giving the league table, again for whatever league you had selected.

Today there are two matches scheduled for tomorrow (1 EPL, 1 Champtionship) yet it's blank except for an advertisement ... as I have indicated below.

Which browser are you using? I'd suggest either Brave or Vivaldi. They have built-in add blockers. I'm normally using Firefox with uBlockOrigin extension. No adds either.

I'm using Microsoft Edge for that site. Firefox for this site.

It's a horrible redesign. I'm all for clean lines and simplicity, but we used to be able to see scores, table and news at a glance. Now we have to click through to individual pages

FFS ... who gives a shit about all the "stories" they have on the main football page. I go there primarily to see what's playing, when, how teams stand in competition and what's the latest score. The rest is secondary. Going to have to find a new page as the alternative ... the BBC Football sub-pages ... don't present the information in the same curated way but scatter it across other pages.

Just another case of highly paid IT staff trying to justify their mega-salaries and their own existence. This happens everywhere. Sites that have run seamlessly for years, that the punters like and have become familiar and comfortable with, are suddenly changed because some whizz-kid needs to show his bosses that he/she is 'on the job' and coming up with innovative ideas. These ideas should improve the experience but, all too often, they do the exact opposite!!

I keep a bookmark and just go straight here. I like flashscore too but you have to set your favorite teams, they have the scores of every random match played in Angola to Zimbabwe if that's still a country. Wales Online is the worst with the ads and a 100 articles on the East Ender cast
