33% +/- seems to be the typical blocked shot percentage across the majority of players. The black swan being Routs ... 67%of his shot are blocked.
The black swan is Dhanda. 61% of all his shots are off target. That's not acceptable. He plays in a position where he should hit the target more often and score more goals.
Fulton and Smith are both shot-shy, which is pity. Especially Fulton should attack opposition box more than he does and shoot more often. Smith doesn't shoot at all. Both of them should be more involved when it comes to shots.
Naughton, Bidwell, Fulton, Grimes and Manning have all 40+ % shots off target. When you add blocked shots to their numbers, then you get the picture.
Ayew's 35% of shots are off target but he makes it up with his 41% shots on target.
Roberts, Hourihane and Lowe are our best players when it comes to shooting.
Routs, Gyokeres, Palmer, Gibbs-White, Cullen and Whittaker haven't played much this season, so we have to be careful when comparing their numbers to those of the other Swansea players.
But there is an interesting difference between Cullen and Whittaker. Whittaker shoots more often than Cullen, and he rarely miss the target. On the other hand, many of his shots are blocked, which reflects his willingness to dribble in the tight spaces in front of the opposition goal. Cullen, on the other hand, takes a lot of first-touch shots and always tries to find the empty spaces in the opposition box. I like them both. Both of them are no-nonsense strikers.
